The festival, founded in 1977, is the American counterpart to the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Italy. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, or in person the day of at a kiosk.

Also in spring, ArtFest features local artists, bringing together new and experienced talents in a family fun event. In Mount Pleasant shopping district, crafters from around the community will showcase their best work in a juried art show, presented by the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild. Immerse Yourself in Different Cultures

Keep the lively energy going into the summer time with Charleston Carifest! It is a three-day Caribbean Carnival held in June, celebrating Caribbean culture and heritage with vibrant costumes, music, dance, and delicious food. Each year, the festival showcases a different Caribbean country. You won’t want to miss the parade!

The Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Festival celebrates the rich Gullah Geechee heritage and the beautiful sweetgrass basket art form that originated in Mount Pleasant. The festival includes basket-making demonstrations, live music, dance performances, and traditional Gullah cuisine. Plus, there are numerous handmade craft vendors, so you can take a piece of the festival home with you.

Gather Friends for a Night of Fun

Fancy yourself a craft beer connoisseur? Although not strictly a summer event, Charleston Beer Week typically takes place in September, celebrating the local craft beer scene with various events at breweries, bars, and restaurants throughout the city. The city is home to more than 35 breweries and brewpubs for you to explore. Get together some friends, and check out the different events—a golf tournament, beer Olympics, finale party, and so much more.

The Palmetto Warrior Connection does so much for our veterans and this is just one of the events happening this year.
