BOWLING GREEN, KY —Storage Sense opened its newest Kentucky location at 750 Lovers Lane in Bowling Green at the end of June, bringing the first fully indoor temperature-controlled storage facility to the community.

The facility offers 427 units across 60,000 square feet and three stories. Every unit is housed inside the building, protecting electronics, documents, clothing, and other temperature-sensitive belongings from Kentucky’s demanding seasonal climate and keeping each visit simple, regardless of the weather outside.
What distinguishes this location from conventional self storage is its full integration of NOKE smart access technology across the entire property, from exterior building door codes to individual units. Rather than relying on physical keys or access codes, NOKE equips every unit with a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock installed directly on the door. Tenants gain access to the facility and unlock their unit through a tap on their smartphone. The system also allows tenants to monitor entry into their units through a user-friendly app, keeping them connected to their storage space even when they’re nowhere near it.
Storage Sense’s security extends beyond the smart lock system. Controlled access means that only active tenants and staff members can enter the building, keeping unauthorized visitors off the property entirely. The facility operates cameras around the clock to keep watch of the building’s interior and exterior, and on-site management is also available to assist tenants and maintain daily operations. Tenants can feel confident with multiple levels of defense securing their units and visits.
To mark the grand opening, the first 50 renters at the Lovers Lane location will be automatically entered into a raffle for one full year of free storage in a unit under 100 square feet.

The facility is locally owned and developed by Kevin Kirby, the owner of J.C. Kirby Funeral Home, as well as Stuart Kirby, and Andy Shultz. It is operated by Storage Asset Management (SAM) under the Storage Sense brand. SAM is a York, Pennsylvania-based self storage property management company. It is the third largest third-party self-storage management company in the United States and the largest privately owned management company.
