Needed a storage space for our business closure. The rental was efficient, all is clean and well lit. After seeing the space I rented it was too large and I was able to switch to a smaller unit with no trouble and one phone call, very helpful when having so many things up in the air. Staff was very helpful and friendly and I feel that my things will be safe until ready to move!

Everything was fine, except they entered my credit card number incorrectly, didn't contact me to tell me my payments weren't going through, then prepared to sell off my stuff. Very very bad, but I'm assuming that's a one-time human error. The rest of the experience was fine: the units are easily accessible. The parking lot is a little small when there are big moving trucks there. The staff is pretty decent, although they are kinda overzealous about keeping drinks out of the facility. Their choice. But definitely I am confident my belongings were safe, secure, and in a climate-stabilized area, and they made it through unscathed.

Initially stopped in to check out the units and the lady behind the counter was more than willing to show me around so I can get a perspective on what size I will need. Later on when I decided to rent a unit, the man behind the counter helped out and discussed the influx of people renting units due to college in the area.

The manager was super helpful and professional. As a former self-storage manager myself, I appreciate the attention to detail and his thoroughness, from explaining the differences in the different levels of temperature control vs climate control, showing me the available unit, and explaining process for entry, parking, and he was thorough with the details of the contract's terms. The facility is super nice and clean, and he is committed to keeping it that way.

The facility is clean, well lit, climat controlled and available when you need it.I felt abused by the manager however. He insisted that items left in the hallway were mine even when I told him they were not. He never apologized . For this reason I will think twice before recommending Storage Sense to others.

Very clean and well managed facility. The staff is top notch. William is professional, thorough and helpful. I was especially impressed—and grateful—when he called to alert me that I had failed to slide the door bolt on my unit and it wasn’t actually locked. Apparently the staff routinely check units to make sure they’re secure. Im a long-term renter and I really appreciate the extra level of care and service.

My story is a little different. I have never been to the location but I put my trust into William in March of 2021 when my belongings were brought there from a very unprofessional company that had held my belongings for far too long and which caused me great anxiety. I have no reason to think, or worry, that William and Storage Sense haven't been exceedingly good stewards.

Brian & William are very nice & professional. They will help you move something if you ask. The place is really clean & the AC is the best. There's carts you can use as well to haul your stuff. Ive never had any issues & I've had my unit for about a year now. I'm glad I found this place for my storage. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the inside.

Place is really awesome. We needed two very large units and management was very helpful in securing them for us. Place is very clean, well managed and easy to deal with. We've never once worried about our stuff. Payment is super easy with auto-draft. Parking lot can get a bit crowded at popular times, but if you call in advance, they can also tell you when to come (and how to get 18-wheelers in/out). Highly recommend!

Great customer service from the front desk to the managers that I have had the pleasure of speaking with. I like the placement of the elevators and bathrooms and entry/exit ways of the building. The parking lot could be a little larger, once a few people and moving trucks show up at the same time it makes everything a little crazy. I have found a few mouse droppings on and in my stuff after dropping my belongings off but nothing was eaten into. Hopefully that gets rectified immediately and I understand that the rodent could have hitched a ride from a person outside of the unit. Other than that the parking lot and interior of the building stays pretty clean.

This review is based on my signing up and getting a lease for my unit - it was extremely easy and I was able to get my unit within minutes! I have not been able to get to go see my unit yet because we have had snow that has kept me from going to check it out, but I will be there this weekend and I am sure that it will be exactly what I have asked for.

Moving can be very stressful, so I'm grateful that I selected Storage Sense in Pantops to house a 4br home full of belongings while we wait to move into our permanent place. I researched storage units all over Cville and read hundreds of reviews before settling here. SO glad I did. This is actually one of the least stressful aspects of the move.I was able to easily purchase/rent a unit online. All the units are inside of a new building with no outside access, which makes me feel better about security. There are several different unit sizes to choose from and all of them are either temperature or climate controlled.After securing the space online, we rolled up in the biggest U-Haul on mother Earth, hoping for a smooth unloading and packing of the unit. We were immediately greeted by William who set us up with a passcode for the door, helped us figure out where to park (and at which angle, for optimal unloading), showed us the elevators and made sure we knew he was available if we needed anything. He couldn't have been any more welcoming.The building had plenty of flatbed hand trucks to make unloading/loading a breeze. The elevators are quick moving and plenty spacious to get your stuff in and out. If you go during "office hours", you can also buy supplies, including a lock for your unit. They aren't expensive and they're much better than a traditional square old-school padlock.For the price, the unit sizes, the security and the EXCELLENT customer service, you absolutely cannot beat this place!!Btw, this is located behind Wawa at Pantops, across from McDonald's and beside the new Holiday Inn. Maps tried taking us somewhere across the street, and I've sent an update, but just in case anyone is headed there, you'll know exactly where to go.

I'm in the process of moving, found Storage Sense on line. I wanted a climate controlled environment. I made a unit reservation, but then had to make a sate change because of the gas crunch crisis. The representative handled that for me, I was able to make the trip a week later. The sign in process was handled very professionally. I'm very pleased.

The customer service we received was A-class; more than excellent. The store manager, William, went above and beyond to assist me in securing last minute storage for my son’s items during the summer. William also put me in touch with a moving company who picked up my son’s belongings, and took it to their storage facility. We even completed an authorization form, so William can keep the keys for us until my son’s return in the summer. This was very convenient for both of us as it was exam week for my son, and I am in Florida, and could not travel to Charlottesville to perform my normal move-out routine. Additionally, William was very prompt and timely in telephone and email communication, he is very knowledgeable; answered all my questions confidently, and provided all the contractual documents so we can have a seamless experience.A big THANK YOU to William and the Storage Sense family.Jamie

We repeatedly had trouble connecting and when he was busy, I got sent to your answering service and placed on hold for LONNNNNNG waits. For a guy who is doing such a great job, it's sad to have this particular answering service in place as his backup. You're a new facility so hopefully it's just growing pains because you have a great location, nice facility, and great face-to-face staff.

We were given a brief tour to our selected unit to make sure it was the size we needed. When we found that it wasn't, it was a very simple process to secure a different unit. Facility was very clean and looked maintained. The contract signing process was smooth and everything was explained thoroughly so that we understood the guidelines and how to access the unit.
