Our town is right in the middle of what used to be the Gettysburg battlefields. This land saw strife and fighting among brothers. The Manassas National Battlefield Park is the most well known location in Virginia. This is the spot for the first Civil War battle. The south called this “The Battle of First Manassas” and the north referred to this as “The First Battle of Bull Run.” If you are still looking for more history about our area check out the Olde Towne Inn. This inn is considered haunted by “Miss Lucy,” who plays pranks on visitors staying in rooms 50, 52, and 54.  Our town is full of rich history to come and explore, this is one reason our town is one of a kind.

Since, we are a quick day trip away from Washington D.C. we are not far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoy the many activities happening year round to help bring our neighbors closer together. Farmer’s markets, movies screenings, and ballroom dances are just some of the special events that pull us all together.
