Why do we love our Colorado Springs CO community? Here at Storage Sense Peak View we want to give back to the community that we live and work in. Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, we see beauty in our neighbors and right outside our door. Our creative local businesses, downtown events and history buffs in the museum are what make our town one of a kind.
Our town was first inhabited by the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes. Later, Colorado Springs was discovered in 1859 by the French and Spanish settlers. People were attracted to the area because of the scenic view and later gold. This rare mineral was found during the 1890’s and was considered one of the richest gold strikes ever found. Spencer Penrose and his family made a fortune here off the mineral discovered. They gave most of their rewards back to the community by funding Cheyenne Mountain Highway and Pikes Peak, a local ski resort. These businesses are still giving back to the Colorado Springs neighborhood.
We think its very important to celebrate and support local charities and members around us. Together we make it easy for families to come see our area with fun family events for every season. During February local and world famous sculptors construct ice sculptures at our annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival. After you have witnessed the magnificent ice sculptures fill your stomach at the Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo Cook Off. Come try all the different kinds of gumbo and judge which is the best in the batch. All our events in Colorado Springs are fun and family oriented. The welcoming atmosphere in Colorado Springs is just one of the reasons why we love our community.
Storage Sense Peak View is happy to be part of a community that embraces many cultures and builds together. We are proud to be your one stop shop for all things packing and moving. Stop in to tell us about a local happening or gather some supplies to make your move easier.
