As the holiday season gets closer, more and more families across the country will be facing financial problems. The pandemic has led to business closures and a rise in unemployment rates, and The Salvation Army is expecting to see an increase in the number of people who need its services this year. You can help by supporting its holiday assistance programs! Storage Sense is accepting donations for The Salvation Army at all of our office locations.

The Salvation Army’s Holiday Programs

When you donate at a Storage Sense office, that donation goes toward efforts happening in your community. The Salvation Army helps people get back to their feet after hardship hits. It has meal programs that distribute food boxes, assist paying for groceries, and serve holiday meals. For the holidays, The Salvation Army created its Angel Tree program to spread joy to families who might be facing a rough year. People can donate toys to be given to kids whose parents have to choice between presents and bills.

The Salvation Army will not put as many red kettles out this year to collect donations outside of large retailers. This is to decrease points of contact between people. But this also decreases the amount of donations expected to come in this year to fund The Salvation Army’s programs. It needs our help.
